Verizon and AT&T releases September security update for the Galaxy S8 and S8+

Verizon and AT&T release a new software update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in the US. The latest update includes the September 2018 security patches, bugs fixes, and few minor improvements.

The Galaxy S8 series users were expecting a camera update with AR Emoji and Super Slow-Mo camera features this month. Earlier this month, the international unlocked Galaxy S8/S8+ units have received this important camera update. Hopefully, Samsung will release a separate software update next month with the above-mentioned features.

The software versions of this update are G950USQS5CRI4, G955USQS5CRI4 for Galaxy S8 and S8+ respectively. You can check this update manually by going into Settings > About phone > System update and download the update manually.
