The South Korean tech giant is followed by its US rival Apple that spent $41.9 billion and on the third place sitting Chinese company Huawei with $21.1 billion, which has recorded a growth of 45%.
The researcher said the top two company’s Samsung and Apple represents 17.9 percent of the world’s total buys in the Semiconductor industry. Although, the researcher also noted that both companies have significantly slowed the growth of their chip spending in 2018.
