Samsung launched its new Exynos 7904 processor for the Indian consumers

Samsung is making new efforts in the Indian smartphone market and to widen them even further, the company has now announced its latest Exynos 7 Series 7904 processor, focused on Indian consumers.

“Exynos 7904, a mobile processor with enhanced multimedia support that allows high-end features in mid-range smartphones. Customized for the Indian consumer needs, the cost-effective processor is optimized to deliver high-end multimedia capabilities in the mid-range smartphones.”

According to Samsung, the Exynos 7904 has new image signal processor (ISP) that supports single-camera resolution of up to 32-megapixels (Mp), dual-camera and an advanced triple-camera setup including a number of new features for panoramic pictures, wide angle, bokeh effects images and more. For videos, this processor supports up to Full HD at 120 fps or UHD at 30fps of video playback.



This new processor is built on a 14nm FinFET technology process, equipped with two ARM Cortex-A73 cores that clocks at 1.8GHz and six Cortex-A53 cores that run at 1.6GHz combined with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. The company said the single-core performance of the Exynos 7904 is 80% more powerful than its predecessor.

The processor also has an integrated LTE modem supports category 12 and 3-carrier aggregation (CA) for 600-megabits-per-second (Mbps) downlink speed. Samsung announced that the Exynos 7 Series 7904 is currently in mass production.
