Samsung’s business-grade rugged Galaxy Tab Active2 is now launched in the Indian market. This tablet is known for its higher operational efficiency in the tough environment along with robust features that are necessary.
The Galaxy Tab Active2 is MIL-STD-810-certified — the military standard for durability during excessive pressure, temperatures, vibrations and drops—and IP68-rated for water and dust resistance. Physical buttons are included for easy operation with work gloves, and the display can be used while wet, enabling access in rainy or inclement weather.
The tab is also IT friendly and comes with Samsung Knox defense-grade security platform allows IT administrators, to customize the device for company purposes, providing employees access to just the apps required for business use.
Enterprise Firmware Over-the-Air (eFOTA) allows testing before deployments, so enterprises have control over OS versions on employee devices.
As for specifications, this tablet features a 8-inch TFT display with 1280×800 resolution, powered by 1.6GHz Exynos 7879 processor with 3GB RAM + 16GB internal storage (microSD expansion up to 256GB). Although this tab was initially launched with Android 7.1 but available for update to Android Oreo.
Also, it comes with 4450mAh battery (replaceable) with USB Type C covered by Pogo Pin. For the camera, it has a 5MP front cam and 8MP auto-focus rear camera.

Samsung lists this tablet under the business section of the official website so it may not be available for the regular consumer. Also, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 price in India has been set at 50,990 INR (around $715) and will be available from mid-March, 2019.
