Samsung is gearing up to launch the proceeder of its Gear Sport smartwatch, as it has already appeared in the renders and expected to be named as Galaxy Sport but a new report has revealed some important information regarding this upcoming wearable.
Guys over XdaDevelopers has explored the firmware of this device and come up with a clarification that this smartwatch will be called 'Galaxy Watch Active' and not Galaxy Sport.
The source also revealed the Galaxy Watch Active's specs an features, which says that this device will feature a 0.1 inch bigger display compare to Gear sport (1.2-inch), powered by Exynos 9110, this watch has a 230mAh battery which is smaller than the Gear sport (300mAh) and will run on Tizen 220.127.116.11 OS Version.
Also, this watch doesn't seem to have MST support but does include NFC for Samsung Pay. The Galaxy Watch active comes with a heart rate monitor but there are no signs of the blood pressure monitor.
Moreover, The smartwatch has built in a speaker, an LTE model, and there could be a dual eSIM model cannot be confirmed at the moment. The buttons on the side will work as Back and Menu keys and there will be a rotating dial which was rumored to be removed from this watch.
It was recently revealed that the watch will come in Black, Silver, Green and Pink Gold color options and expected to unveiled alongside Galaxy S10 series, while Samsung is yet to confirm the launch date of this wearables.
