On Dcember 4, Samsung conducted a transmission of multi-gigabit 5G speeds to a smartphone prototype device, which was spotted during the annual Snapdragon Technology Summit.
The prototype is used to test data transmission using 3GPP 5G NR specification and dual connectivity, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem and Qualcomm QTM052 mmWave antenna modules with integrated RF transceiver, RF front-end, and antenna elements.
The test device seems to be also used for the 5G call in South Korea, which was commercialized last week. As a prototype device, it features some design changes that may be different from the end product. (Please Check the Images below).
