Samsung India on Thursday said it will recruit around 2500 staffs for its Research and Development projects through 2020 in India, to broaden its efforts in the market and to outpace its rival brands.
According to YonhapNews, during a press conference, Samsung India in a press conference said it will hire 1,000 Indian engineers, adding that it will hire 1,000 and 500 more in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
These new recruits will work will be placed under Samsung India's three operational R&D centers and pursue researches in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, IoT, camera technology, and 5G networks.
The company has spent more than $15 billion on R&D in 2017. In August 2018, Samsung announced that it will invest $22 billion globally, to focus on key emerging technologies including AI, 5G, automotive components and biopharmaceuticals by 2021.
