A wireless charger meant to be compatible with a SamsungGear S4 was certified by the Korean Radio Research Agency, revealing a number of details about the upcoming smartwatch.
The product identified by the regulator as “EP-YO805” confirms the company is sticking with wireless charging solutions for the Gear S4, in addition to confirming previous reports that one of the Gear S4 variants will have the model number SM-R805.
The Gear S4 will be offered in silver and black color options or probably gold too. According to the previous report, the next Samsung smartwatch will have a much larger battery than the Gear S3 – a nearly 24% bigger battery.
The Gear S3’s battery has 380mAh of power, while the power capability of the Gear S4 will be 470mAh. The Operating system (OS) is likely to be Tizen. The Gear S4 price is undecided.
According to the latest reports, Samsung is planning to launch the successor to the Gear S3 in August (probably at IFA 2018).
