Well, we have good news for Samsung smartwatch users. The Samsung Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier are currently receiving a new software update on Verizon network.
The update should fix the notorious battery drain issue on Gear S3 smartwatch, which Samsung already tried to fix with a previous update to no avail. Additionally, the latest update fixes an issue that prevented the watch from turning on.
The update also removes the "Telephone SIM activation" pop-up error message that occurred under certain scenarios.
The Gear S3 Classic has software version R775VVRU1BRC6 and, the Gear S3 Frontier is carrying software version R765VVRU1BRC6. If you have Gear S3, you can check for update by going into, About Gear > Update Gear software in the Settings.
