Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and Note 8 will also receive Samsung’s new One UI

On the first day of Samsung Developer Conference 2018, Samsung introduced many groundbreaking technologies and one of them is its new and intuitive interface design called One UI which is built on top of Android OS.

The new interface provides interactive controls in the bottom half of the display, allowing users to easily reach and touch UI objects with a thumb while using a large screen smartphone with one hand.

“The new UI is re-engineered to reduce clutter and distractions, allowing the user for better focus and quickly navigate their phone,” said Samsung.

One UI is to be used with the new Galaxy S9 and other devices and set to launch in a beta form this month, which will allow testers to get an early chance to try One UI ahead of the public launch in 2019.

The beta program will first start in several countries, including the USA, Germany and South Korea, which will later be expanded to China, France, India, Poland, Spain, UK.

Now, we can confirm that One UI will also be available for the Galaxy S8/S8+, and the Galaxy Note 8.
