Original story:

Good news folks, Verizon rolling out a new update, guess? what is it? – Android 8.0 Oreo. Verizon Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge users are going to receive Android Oreo update. The update also brings April security patch and other important improvements.

Verizon is now rolling out build version G930VVRS4BRC3 and G935VVRS4BRC3 for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge respectively.

“This software update brings the latest Android Oreo OS, tools for you to improve your productivity such as App pair, Dual Messenger, and high contrast keyboard as well as UI improvements to your phone dialer. The latest Android security patch is also included.”

But, a number of Verizon subscribers claim to have only been able to renew the security patch level on their Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge units after the latest update. Still, there’s a good chance Oreo will begin to roll out in earnest later today, so keep checking.

To check for the update, head into Settings>About phone>Software updates>Check for updates.
