Samsung has announced that Bixby 2.0 update for devices released before Galaxy Note 9 and will be updated to the latest version alongside the One UI (Android 9.0) rollout.

According to YonhapNews, Samsung will provide the latest version of Bixby to users with devices – Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8, by the end of the month. The update will be installed when a phone updates to the Android 9.0 Pie (One UI) operating system.

Although, Galaxy S9 and S9+ is already available for One UI beta test but not received the latest Bixby version, which possibly is the part of the stable rollout.

This move tends to increase Bixby users to the latest version, the company has already shown its intention towards expanding the Bixby ecosystem by adding support for five new languages.

Samsung claims that “compared to the original version, New Bixby is better in terms of understanding context and connecting to third-party applications”.
