Last month, One UI beta tester on unlocked Galaxy S8 and Note 8 devices received their second beta update and now these devices on Android 8.0 Oreo are receiving February security patch, as they proceed towards the stable Android Pie update.
This latest update brings February 2019 security patch that provides fixes to 12 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures. Also, the update installs bug fixes and stability improvements.
The update is currently rolling out with build version G950U1UES5CSB2 and G955U1UES5CSB2 for Galaxy S8 and S8+ respectively, and N950U1UES5CSB1 for Galaxy Note 8. If you want to check this update, please head into Setting > Software Update.
At one side many users of Galaxy S8 and Note8 device got disappointed by this update, while on the other side both locked and unlocked phones receiving February security patches, which points at that the next stop will definitely be the Android Pie rollout.
