Galaxy J2 Core and J4 received Wi-Fi certificate for Android 9.0 Pie

Samsung’s first ever Android Go device the Galaxy J2 Core and Galaxy J4 (2018) has moved closer to the Android Pie update because these devices have now received Wi-Fi Alliance certificate and will soon be upgraded to the latest Operating System.

Wi-Fi Alliance has certified several models of the Galaxy J2 Core (SM-J260) and J4 (SM-J410) with Android 9.0 Pie onboard for countries where it was released.

The Galaxy J2 Core and J4 comes packed with Android 8.1 and Android 8.0 Oreo respectively and  according to Samsung’s official Android Pie schedule, these devices are scheduled to receive the new OS update in April 2019 but could also arrive earlier.

Moreover, there are chances that we may soon also see the Galaxy J4 Core on WFA listing, which is Samsung’s second device on Android Go that comes with higher specs compared to J2 Core.
