Last month Samsung announced that its 2019 Smart TVs will support remote access feature and today the company said it will also offer iTunes Movies, TV Shows and Apple AirPlay 2 support for these TVs beginning this spring.
Samsung said a new iTunes Movies and TV Shows app will debut only on Samsung Smart TVs in more than 100 countries. AirPlay 2 support will be available on Samsung Smart TVs in 190 countries worldwide.
With iTunes Movies and TV Shows app, users can access their existing iTunes library, browse to buy or rent movies and TV episode from a big library of contents including the 4K HDR Movies.
Also, with AirPlay 2 support, Samsung customers will be able to play videos, photos, music, podcasts and more from Apple devices directly to Samsung Smart TVs, including QLED 4K and 8K TVs, The Frame and Serif lifestyle TVs, as well as other Samsung UHD and HD models.
Both of these apps will work together with Samsung's Smart TV services, such as Universal Guide and the new Bixby to bring richer experience.
Moreover, the company announced that these new apps will be added on 2018 Samsung Smart TVs through a firmware update.
