Galaxy S8, S9, Note 7, FE and Note 8 received Android 9 Pie certificates from WFA

Samsung is preparing to roll out Android Pie on its devices and recently more Samsung devices have been certified by Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) running Android 9 on board.

WFA has certified multiple variants of Galaxy S8(SM-G950), S8+(SM-G955), S9(SM-G960), S9+(SM-G965), Note 7(SM-N930), Note FE(SM-N935) and Note 8(SM-N950) along with Android version 9.0 Pie. These models also include International(F), Dual-Sim(DS), Carrier(U) and Unlocked(U1) variants of devices.

One thing that’s notable that the discontinued Galaxy Note 7 also got Android 9.0 certificate along with Note FE, which seems so strange.

[Update: International variant too] Samsung Galaxy Note 9 received Android 9.0 Pie certificate

The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will soon receive One UI beta (Android 9) build in the US, Germany, and South Korea. Since other phones are not in the beta list the company can start a full fledge rollout on all of its eligible devices starting from January 2019.
