Samsung S-series phones kick off every year featuring something new for its consumers and in 2019 this flagship series is completing its 10th anniversary. Which the company can make astounding in several aspects.

The next Galaxy S phone can bring many surprises to its fans and The South Korean tech giant has indicated that Galaxy S10 is going to be unique on its own not only on the specs but it’s expected to get a new design with lots of new features that’ll add an extra layer of innovation on the device.

Samsung is currently planning to unveil the flagship Galaxy S10 smartphone in February, followed by the presumed Foldable Phone and another edition of the Galaxy S10 that runs on the 5G network in March.

November 9, 2018: Samsung’s new Exynos processor coming on November 14, hinted a powerful NPU
Today Samsung Exynos posted the launch date of its new processor, which is November 14 and embed a tagline into the image as “Intelligence From Within”.

Indicating that the next processor will be armed with advanced Artificial intelligence capabilities and to do this, the new System on Chip (SoC) may feature extra AI cores to bring more power inside neural processing unit (NPU).

This will be breakthrough for the next-gen processor from Samsung that’ll power the upcoming Galaxy S10 series.

November 7, 2018: Samsung showed off four display types, three of these include ‘Notch’

Today at Samsung Developer Conference 2018’s Keynote, Samsung introduced a new lineup its upcoming displays technologies. One of these new display is called “New Infinity”, which seems completely bezel-less and could possibly be seen in the upcoming Galaxy S10.

Another big source confirms, The Galaxy S10 will be launched in three models. The standard variant will feature a curved OLED screen along with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple rear cameras set up.

The source also included, that one of the three models of S10 will be packed with 5G chip and currently under consideration to launching with US mobile carrier ‘Verizon’.

There’ll also be a cheap version of the device which will be launched to win the war against its Chinese rivals, who’s selling the device on cheap prices.

Moreover, one of the Galaxy S10 variants may not feature the headphone jack relying completely on Bluetooth and USB Type-C port.

Samsung can use the Substrate-like PCB (SLP) circuit module in Galaxy S10 series for models equipped with Samsung Exynos chip.

The main reason why manufacturers using this PCB type, is because it allows to shrink the main board and make room for a larger component such as a bigger battery or to embed several more high-end components for further performance improvements.

September 25, 2018: Samsung Galaxy S10’s three models certified in China
Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT) has certified devices with model numbers SM-G9700, SM-G9730 and SM-G9750. These three model proceeds the model number of Galaxy S9 (SM-G960) and S9+ (SM-G965), showing the presence of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S-Series devices.

A report is here that says Samsung Electronics confirmed that the Galaxy S10 will get an on-display fingerprint scanner, something that was once rumored for the Galaxy S9.

“Samsung Electronics has decided to commercialize the display fingerprint reader on the Galaxy S10,” Samsung Electronics said in a statement. “We know Samsung Display is in charge of the display and Qualcomm is in the spotlight,” it added.

The latest report reveals the company has codenamed the next Galaxy S smartphones as ‘Beyond‘. The Galaxy S9 series was code-named “Star,” whereas the Galaxy S8 family was internally referred to as “Dream.”

Samsung has already started informing its suppliers that it’s planning on equipping the Galaxy S10 with an on-screen fingerprint reader developed jointly by Qualcomm, Synaptics, and Ezestek.

According to news reports on March 15, Israeli startup Mantis Vision is working on developing 3-D sensing camera solutions for Samsung Electronics’ next-generation Galaxy S smartphones, tentatively called the Galaxy S10.


Galaxy S10 Specifications

Back in 2015, Samsung started the trend of launching two variant of the single phone with Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which is still in action with the reign of Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

2015 — Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge
2016 — Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge
2017 — Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
2018 — Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus

But in 2019, this dual variant launch trend will receive a change because the reports above reveals that Samsung is preparing three models of the upcoming Galaxy S10 flagship with different specs with codename – Beyond 1, Beyond 2, and Beyond 3.

The Beyond 1 and 2 will be the top tier phones of the series compared to Beyond 0, which will feature a flat display panel and along with moderate camera specs.

The Beyond 1 will have a curved edge infinity display and dual camera system with ultrasonic FoD. While the Beyond 3 is expected to bid the highest specs with curved edge display, 5G capability, triple rear cameras, and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

To be mentioned, all three models will come with OneUI (Android 9 Pie) preinstalled.

Previously, Samsung Galaxy S10 expected to be launched during the CES 2019 show which will be held early from Jan 8 – 12. But the latest report reveals that the South Korean tech giant plans to unveil the flagship Galaxy S10 smartphone in February, followed by the presumed Foldable Phone and another edition of the Galaxy S10 that runs on the 5G network in March.
