Samsung today launched its new “Notebook Flash” laptop in South Korea which offers unique new design and equipped with Gigabit LAN card for faster internet experience but do you know that the company is planning to move beyond the normal PC race and started developing Foldable Laptop and 5G Notebook.
According to the KoreanHerald, Samsung in a press conference, held after the launch of ‘Notebook Flash’ revealed that the company is working on foldable AMOLED displays for Laptop products.
“Like foldable smartphones, Samsung is collaborating with display makers to develop laptops with foldable displays that will not just simply fold in and out but create new value and user experience, amid the changing market trends for laptops,” said Lee Min-Cheol, vice president at marketing for PCs at Samsung.
The South Korean Tech Giant is currently working to develop large display panels for laptops with panel maker which could undoubtedly be Samsung Display.
“Samsung plans to complete the development of the 5G notebook by the end of 2020. As the 5G module comes out from Intel in 2020, we aim to launch commercial notebooks by the end of 2020 in conjunction with KT.” said Lee.
Samsung’s newly launched “Notebook Flash” laptop is packed with Intel‘s newest Intel’s latest 802.11 ac 2X2 Gigabit wireless LAN card that can boast the download time of large files such as high-resolution videos at the speeds up to 1.7Gbps, showing the company’s shift towards next-gen computing.
Currently, there’s no additional information about both of these devices revealed by the Samsung’s official, but there’s one thing for sure that both of these devices could significantly boost Samsung’s computing market with new growth rate.
