Samsung officially unveiled Galaxy Note 9

Samsung today has officially unveiled a new member of its Galaxy Note series as ‘Galaxy Note 9’. The overall design of the device looks similar to its predecessor with slimmer bezels and repositioned back, let’s explore the device further.

The Note 9 is packed with an advanced S Pen with Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) support, the new S Pen delivers an entirely new way to use the Note. With just a click, it’s now possible to take selfies and group pictures, present slides, pause and play video, and more.

It’s worth mentioning that the new Screen-Off memos will now match the color of the S-Pen, that means the yellow S-Pen that ships with the Blue model will draw in bright yellow.



For the first on a Note device, Samsung featured DeX with easy-to-carry HDMI adapters without even needed for an external Dex Dock. When connected to a monitor, Galaxy Note9 can power a virtualized desktop and even serve as a fully-functional second screen.

To ensure that the Note 9 users don’t run out of storage the Galaxy Note9 is available with two internal storage options – choose from 128GB or 512GB. And with the ability to insert a microSD card, Galaxy Note9 is 1TB ready.

The Galaxy Note 9 features a large 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED, 2960×1440 (516ppi). powered by Snapdragon 845/Exynos 9810 SoC combined with 6GB/8GB RAM + 128GB/512GB internal storage which could expandable up to 1TB via 512GB microSD card.

It comes with a whopping 4000 mAh battery with fast charging (USB-C) and ships with Android 8.1 Oreo onboard. For photography an video calls, it features a Dual rear OIS a wide angle 12MP(F1.5/F2.4) AF + a Telephoto 12MP(F2.4) AF camera setup and an 8MP (F1.7) front-facing camera.



The Galaxy Note 9 is secured by Samsung Knox, IP68 water, and dust resistance. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi and LTE alongside sensors including Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope, RGB, Proximity, Iris Scanner and intelligent scan (unlock), Hall Sensor.

To ensure full entertainment, The Galaxy Note 9 brings an extraordinary sound quality to its users by featuring speakers tuned by AKG and Dolby Atmos immersive sound technology.

Other features of the device include support for SmartThings backed by Bixby to monitor and control users smart home devices right from the device.

Galaxy Note9 will be available starting August 24, 2018, in select markets and will be offered in Midnight Black, Lavender Purple, Metallic Copper with matching S Pen, and Ocean Blue with a Yellow S Pen.
