According to the industry sources, Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-Yong returned home from his 11-day business trip to Hong Kong and Japan, where he met officials of several other companies.
Lee’s latest business trip aimed to Japan where he reportedly held several meetings with local partners like Ushio, a semiconductor alley of Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Yazaki, the maker of automotive parts like wire harness and head-up displays.
On his way to home, Lee also visited Hong Kong. Consider investing more in the country with a new investment plan. Unlike previous biz trips where Lee was accompanied by other executives, he completed these trips alone which could be a case of more private meetings.
More Recently, Lee visited Europe, Canada, China and Japan as a business purpose activity, after being freed on a suspended sentence and spending nearly a year in jail over the bribery and other charges linked to a corruption scandal that led to the ousting of former President Park Geun-Hye last year.
