Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) will be receiving its first security patch since the update to Android 7.0 Nougat. With this update, it also becomes clear that Samsung is not yet ready to keep the J7 from 2016 up-to-date. That device appeared here in the summer of that year. Based on that, we, therefore, expect the security updates to continue until at least the next summer.
This update brings with it the usual bug fixes and optimizations. In addition, the security patches of the month of January are mainly: 91 fixes rolled out from Google’s laboratories, and 13 fixes added Samsung itself.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is receiving December 2017 security patch, the firmware version is J710FXXU4BQL3.
